Obituary of Glendon Orlo Kvestad

Glendon Orlo Kvestad, 64, of Hanahan passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday September 18, 2018.  Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of his Life Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 3 to 6 o’clock at the VFW post 5091 at 4257 Spruill Ave North Charleston, SC.

 

Glen was born in Fosston, MN. He grew up in Thief River Falls, MN before enlisting into the United States Navy in January of 1975 where he served 8 years as a Sonar Technician. Upon his return to Charleston, SC he started a career at the Shipyard and then Spawar. 

 

He was happiest spending his days with his granddaughter, fur baby (Dakota), and friends. He loved anything NASCAR, or being on the water whether he was fishing or just riding in his boat with his friends.

 

He was proceeded in death by his mother Gloria Kvestad. He is survived by his two children Nicholas Glen Kvestad of James Island and Laura Anne Kvestad-Furman of Hanahan, his granddaughter Ryleigh Lynn Furman, his only sister Violet Hanson Werner of North Dakota, and his brother Conley Larson of Minnesota.

 

Arrangements have been provided by Simplicity lowcountry cremation and burial services.
