Obituary of Gary Peace

Gary C. Peace, age 62, of Ladson, SC, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2015. The funeral service will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, May 13 at Simplicity Lowcountry Funeral Home, 7475 Peppermill Parkway, Suite E, North Charleston, SC 29418 with a Celebration his Life immediately following the service at the Goose Creek American Legion. Gary was born in Punxstuwaney, PA on June 16, 1952, son of Daisy Elizabeth Brown Peace and Simon Edward Peace. Gary worked in the construction industry for most of his life travelling to many interesting places before settling in Charleston. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent many hours with a fishing pole in hand. Gary was an American Legion SAL Member and spent countless hours volunteering his time supporting our veterans and their families making many lifelong friends along the way. Post 166 was his special place. Gary leaves to mourn his wife and love of his life, Cindy. He is also survived by his daughter, Amy Peace (Mike), and brother, Larry Peace. He also leaves behind his four grandchildren, LaChelle, Ceyonna, Leosha, and Leslie. Gary is predeceased by his parents and infant daughter, Christine Marie also by his siblings, Harry, Terry(Carol), and Patricia.
