Obituary of Jewel Clara Wolfenbarger Lusk

Jewel Clara Wolfenbarger Lusk, 90, of North Charleston, SC, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 25, 2015. She was the faithful wife of William (Bill) B. Lusk for almost 69 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the celebration of her life at 2:00pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Deer Park Baptist Church located at 8875 Old University Boulevard, North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service (12:30pm – 1:45pm.) The burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Gardens immediately after the service. Jewel was born November 30, 1924 in Granger County , TN. A daughter of the late James Enoch and Loda Mae Coffman Wolfenbarger. She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. As a believer in Jesus Christ, she was an active member of Deer Park Baptist Church since 1968. Holding down the home front while her husband fought in two wars, she was a World War II and Korean War heroine. She is survived by her husband Bill Lusk, sons – Gary W. Lusk (wife Edie) of Moncks Corner, SC and Mark S. Lusk (wife Janet) of Morganton , NC , daughter Connie L. Tarrant (husband Jimmy) of Travelers Rest, SC, grandchildren – Lee L. Pariseau, Angie L. McBride, David Lusk, Jonathan Lusk, Christy Lusk, Gabrielle Tarrant, and Michaela Tarrant, great grandchildren – Jake Zuber, Isaac Lusk, Rebekah Lusk, and Amelia Grace McBride (due in July.) In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Junior Wolfenbarger, and sisters – Opal W. Frye and Pauline W. Harrell Meredith.
