Obituary of Cayden Zane Segle

Cayden Zane Segle

“To surrender dreams — this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness — and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!” Don Quixote. Cayden Zane Segle passed away November 15 at the age of 25 in Charleston, South Carolina. Cayden is survived by his mother, Christie, his Father, Zane, his three sisters Savannah, Michal, and Annalee, as well as by his dog Talim, and his two cats Mushu and Grim.  Amidst the madness of the world, Cayden never surrendered his dreams of producing music and saw the value of life through the lens of love he felt toward his family and friends. Cayden lived life as he felt it should be and he never compromised opportunities to spend time laughing, loving, and enjoying the company of his family. Cayden was fiercely loyal to his friends and detested all types of social inequity and discrimination. Yet Cayden was gentle and always kind to those around him and often showed acts of empathy and compassion to others. Cayden had an incredible work ethic and would frequently work 100 hours a week in the oil fields of North Dakota and Odessa, Texas. At a young age Cayden managed a warehouse in the oil fields and his bosses often commented on Cayden’s responsible and trustworthy character. Cayden returned to Charleston, South Carolina in March of 2018 in order to dedicate time to his family and to pursue his love of music. Cayden was dearly loved and he will be missed beyond measure by his family and by all those who knew him. The Funeral will be on Tuesday, November 27 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 1519 Sam Rittenberg BLVD. There will be a viewing at 11:00am and the funeral service will begin at 12:00pm.
