Obituary of Paul Allen Lengel

Paul A. Lengel, 74, of Mount Pleasant, SC, beloved husband of Joy Lengel, entered into eternal rest on April 3, 2015. Paul was born in Ravine, PA, on May 7, 1940, and was a 1958 graduate of Pine Grove High School. He and Joy married in their hometown of Pine Grove in 1962. Paul spent most of his career, a total of 36 years, at Amoco, first at a plant in Delaware, and then at their Charleston plant, where he was a maintenance coordinator. Paul loved travel, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was also a talented cook, much to the delight of family and friends. He was fun to be with and quick to help others whenever he could. He was a wonderful husband to Joy, a great friend and a highly regarded co-worker. Paul was a member of Brandywine Lodge Chapter 9, Ediwan Masonic Lodge, and Omar Shrine Temple. He is survived by his wife Joy, his brothers Charles and John, his sister-in-law Jackie Lengel and his brother-in-law Butch Potts, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on April 13, 2015, at 3:00 pm, at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation, 7475 Peppermill Parkway, Suite E, in North Charleston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, at www.cancer.org.
