My grandma... was not your typical grandma. She was more of a friend or just one of the girls than a grandma. You didn't mess with her family or anyone she loved or you were gonna get schooled and everyone would know it! She always found ways to help us make money when we really wanted something and loved to cook for everyone! Anytime she could help anyone she did no matter who you were as long as you were willing to try to help yourself as well. She saves every trinket and every picture and always found a place in her home for everyone of them where everyone could see it. She loved her family and we will forever love her.
I am grateful for the time I have been able to spend with Mary and grateful that she was the Grandma to my children. She has taught me a lot about about life and love the last few months. I will be forever grateful.
Such sad news. She was a truly wonderful woman. I have so many happy memories with us to cherish. Christmas eve' parties.....I still remember the first time I was invited due to being a friend of the family....and I almost didn't come.
After I ended up going I felt so at home. So welcomed with love and friendship by all.
I recall a few years ago just stopping in to see Mary. I was there a few hours. We had nice conversation, it was always hard to leave.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time.
GOD bless.
