Obituary of David Wilson Mixson

David passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019. He was born in Charleston, SC on September 29, 1972. While he was an avid outdoorsman, he preferred to spend him time with his bride, boys and family. He was an enthusiastic Alabama football fan. David worked as a heavy- equipment mechanic for 3R, Banks Construction and H&J Contracting.

In April 2018, David became ill and fought a long, valiant battle until the Lord called him home. The family would like to express their gratitude to Beverly Jordan, FNP; PPCP Family and Summerville Medical Center ICU staff.

David leaves behind a large, loving family. His bride, Marcy and sons, Layne and Austin (Dayton) of Ladson, SC; his parents Buddy and Donna McNeill of Ladson, SC; brother Trae McNeill, brother Brett McNeill (Adriana) of Ladson, SC, brother Spencer McNeill (Jessica) of Ladson and a number of adored nieces and nephews. David will be missed dearly by all of his family and friends. He was loved and respected by many.

A memorial service will take place at Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services Summerville Chapel (281 Treeland Drive, Suite C, Ladson, SC 29456) at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019. A celebration of David's life will take place immediately following the memorial service at 103 Lamie Drive, Ladson, SC 29456.) Flowers can be sent directly to Simplicity.
