Obituary of Randy W McGinnis

Randy W McGinnis 62 of Ladson SC passed away peacefully the  morning of Feb 12, 2019. Randy was born April 11, 1956 in Belleville, IL to Barbara J McGinnis nee Duncan and Arthur E Farmer Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Debra C McGinnis, his son and best friend Randy McGinnis (Kay), beloved daughters Amy Vrable (Chris) and Jennifer Clamana (Ricky). He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren Patience Kanehl, Randy and Hailey McGinnis, Dominic, Ethan, and CeCe Clamana, and Adalynn Vrable. Sisters Patricia Wixson and Cheryl Farner, brothers Terry Farmer, Daniel McGinnis and Brian Farmer. He was predeceased by his mother Barbara, father Arthur Sr, brother Arthur Farmer Jr and step father Euclyde McGinnis.

Randy retired with over 25 years at Bosch. He worked several years at the Presbyterian Village of Summerville. His most enjoyable employment was his side work in the HVAC business. Randy was volunteer treasurer of the Caromi Fire Dept. Board of Directors. He also volunteered many years on the Tall Pines HOA Board in various positions. Randy will also be sadly missed by his beloved dachshund Dolly. Randy is a Army Veteran, serving from October 1973 to November 1976.

Funeral services will be held Sunday Feb 17, 2019 5-7 pm a Simplicity: Lowcounty Cremation Burial Services (281 Treeland Drive, Ladson SC). If attending the viewing please be comfortable and wear your black and gold to show support for his favorite team the Steelers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Randy to Caromi Fire Department (554 College Park Road, Ladson SC) or Ralph H Johnson VA Medical Voluntary Services (109 Bee Street, Charleston, SC).
