Obituary of Joseph Edward Miano

Joseph Edward Miano, IV On Sunday, February 22, 2015, Joseph passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was born with multiple disabilities and died after a brief illness. He was 27 years old.Joseph was born in Charleston, SC, in November of 1987. He was the third child, and the only son, of Beth K. Miano and Joseph E. Miano, III. Early in Joseph’s life, doctors doubted that he would live until his second birthday, but Joseph beat the odds. He was a fighter. He inspired friends and family with his cheerful disposition and love of people. Joseph is survived by his parents, Joe and Beth, and his sisters, Laura Miano Brokaw and Julie Miano Stanford. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Marge Miano, seven aunts, six uncles, 12 cousins, two brother-in-laws, four nieces, and his longtime caregiver, Cheryl Johnson.
