I’m so very grateful to have been blessed with an aunt as wonderful as my Auntie Marva. I remember her visits to Idaho when I was younger with such fondness. Her visits were a treat for all of the family as they brought us all together which just doesn’t happen anymore. I am so glad that I was able to visit her twice in South Carolina. I shall never play a game of pinochle or zilch without thinking of her. As soon as we woke up in the morning we were at the table playing games. If she wasn’t playing games with you she was feeding you. I swear I gained 10 pounds every time I visited. I love you so very much Auntie and I’ll miss you terribly. I will see you again someday.

COME WITH ME
The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms around you
And whispered, “Come with me”
With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away,
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
A beautiful smile at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.
It’s lonesome here without you
We miss you so each day,
Our lives aren’t the same
Since you went away.
When days are sad and lonely,
And everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper,
“Cheer up and carry on.”
Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
“Don’t cry, I’m in God’s keeping,
We’ll meet again someday.”
I LOVE YOU MOM!!
This was a perfect poem. She is safe and whole in the arms of all her heavenly friends and family. Love you, Aunt Kelli.

Granny I miss you so much already. I’m happy that we remained close and I have our frequent phone conversations to remember. You were always a wonderful Grandma to all of us. You spoiled us rotten but you were also tough when you needed to be. The world is a much better place having had you in it but I’m glad you aren’t in pain anymore. It’s hard to remember all of the good times in the midst of my sadness but I know I’ll get there. I hope I don’t embarrass you while you’re watching from above. I promise to live my life keeping you in mind and trying to keep you proud of me
