Obituary of Harriet Elizabeth Griffith Strock

Harriet Elizabeth Griffith Strock, 93, originally of Cope, SC and a resident of Morningside of Orangeburg died Monday, January 19, 2015. She was born February 24, 1921 in Orangeburg County and was the youngest child of Fannie Bair and Thomas Raysor Griffith. Harriet was the widow of Woodrow G Strock Sr having been married for 70 years. She was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, and six siblings. Survivors include three children: Woody ( Joey) Strock, Kaye ( John) Vignone, Carl ( Iva) Strock; 8 grandchildren: Ray Fogle, Lance Fogle, Paige Vallentine, Josh Fogle, Griff Strock, Harriet French, Carlee Jeffords, Lucy Strock; 11 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Virginia Strock Ott, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Breland Fellowship Hall of Edisto Baptist Church, Carver School Road, Cope, SC on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon. A private graveside ceremony will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the staff of Morningside and Hospice Care of Tri County.
