Obituary of Ruth Jeanette Heffron

Ruth Jeanette Heffron, 77, of Charleston, wife of James J. Heffron, Jr, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 in Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Heffron was born on October 25, 1937 in Charleston, a daughter of the late Edward Griffin and Ruth Layton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and adored animals. She was loved very dearly and will be greatly missed. In addition to her husband, James, she is survived by her son Mark L. Heffron (Maria); daughter, Alicia A. Heffron (Timothy Manor); brother, Edward Griffin (Jane); and two grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Heffron. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Logan Manor. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Church of the Nativity, 1061 Folly Road, Charleston. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, James Island. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Care of South Carolina, 26 Bee St, Charleston, SC 29403. Arrangements are by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services.
