Obituary of Paul Robert Mires

Memorial services for Paul R. Mires were officiated by Rev. Dusty Bradshaw on October 21, 2014 at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services, 7475 Peppermill Parkway, Suite E, North Charleston. Mr. Mires, 81, of Charleston, SC, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at home. He was born and raised in Martin, TN and lived in Lansing, MI for over 45 years. He served honorably in the United States Army. Mr. Mires was the former owner of Leon G Jewelry Store in East Lansing, MI. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted Father, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn, in 2011. Survivors include his children Timothy Mires and his wife Melissa of Mason, MI, Pamela Norman and her husband Frank of Meridian, MS and Robin Whitemire of Charleston, SC; grandchildren Christopher, Kristi, Kalee, Joey, Brooks, Tori, Craig and Michael; great-grandsons Connor, Shon, and sister Lucille Garner. The family requests memorials to be made to Hebron Baptist Church, 4795 Vimville Causeyville Road, Meridian, MS 39301.
