Obituary of Peggy Sue Farrell

Peggy Sue Cox Farrell, 66, of Summerville, SC, passed away on September 17, 2014, of lung cancer. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Summerville Community Seventh-Day Adventist Church on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 3 PM, a dinner for family and friends to follow at 122 Picadilly Loop, Summerville, SC. Peggy was born in Florence, AL on December 9, 1947, a daughter of Horace D. Cox and Ruth Burgess Cox Hester. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Peggy had a way of meeting people and making new friends. Her friendly outgoing nature drew people to her. She was full of compassion and love for people and animals. Peggy worked as a Secretary for their family business, Farrell Brothers, Inc, for over 30 years. She lived a simple life, loved her family and husband of 46 years. Peggy enjoyed adventure and new experiences but was always happiest at the home she and Turner built. Her Granddaughters, Claire (13) and Amber (10), were two of her biggest delights in life. She enjoyed nurturing them and having fun together. Peggy always took the time to make whoever she was with feel important, loved and that she cared. For her children, Bernie and Ashley, she was their biggest fan. The love and support she constantly showed them will live on for years to come. Peggy loved the Lord and found strength in his word for life, comfort and healing. Peggy is survived by Berrien Turner Farrell, Jr. (Husband), Berrien Turner Farrell, III “Bernie“ (Son) and Lisa Burgess Farrell (Daughter in-law) Claire Abigail and Amber Ruth Farrell (Granddaughters), Ashley D. Farrell (Daughter) all of Summerville, SC, Barbara Earwood (Gerald) (Sister), Brian Earwood (Lorie) (Nephew), Bobby M. Cox (Elizabeth) (Brother) and Lauren Cox (Niece) all of Florence, AL, and other family and friends. Peggy is preceded in death by Horace D. Cox (Father), Ruth Cox Hester (Mother) numerous Aunts and Uncles, family and friends.
