In Memory Of Kelly Langford The loss of Kelly Langford will be felt throughout our close-knit literary community for years to come.. I met Kelly several years ago.. She and I became fast friends, met at many conventions & spoke often online. She loved going to book conventions to meet up with other readers & her favorite authors. She always had a ready smile and a warm hug for you, if you were blessed enough to meet her in person.. Over the years, she attended many of the online author events I’ve hosted and she has always been a bright, shining light to us, even through something as impersonal as the internet. She had a wonderfully charming sense of humor & a witty personality. She was incredibly talented in the world of crocheting and made my daughter several beautiful items over the years, along with sending winter wear items to many more friends in the lit world. She had a huge heart and anytime she wanted to cheer someone up, she immediately started working on a new winter wear set for them. Honestly, I can’t even imagine how she kept up with all of it! My wrists hurt simply from seeing photos of all the projects she had put together, yet she never complained & continued working on her projects, so she could continue providing smiles to faces everywhere. She loved her sweet children with the ferociousness of a mama tiger and enjoyed having them with her whenever she could. She always enjoyed telling us about their accomplishments and was a proud mama.. Whitney & Patrick were her heart and soul.. The tears are still falling from many of our eyes today & will continue to do so, for some time.. We will never forget you, Kelly.. You’ve brought joy to your children, your friends, myself, my daughter & so many others, during our darkest moments and our hearts will forever be missing you, my dear friend… Her beloved friends have been at her side. every moment possible, over the last few days & I’d like to thank them both for keeping me updated and for being a source of strength for our beloved Kelly as she left this world behind to join another… Kelly leaves behind her daughter, Whitney and her son, Patrick, as well as her brother Kyle and various other beloved relatives. Please continue to offer prayers, light, love and comfort to her family & friends, during this incredibly difficult & tragic time in our lives.. Fly free with the Angels and rest in peace, beautiful soul…
