Obituary of Marian E. Roberts

Marian L (Betty) Roberts Ms. Roberts departed for her heavenly home, Tuesday, September 2, 2014 when she gave up her courageous third battle with cancer. Born December 16, 1933 she was a lifetime resident of Walterboro, South Carolina. In her lifetime she was unsurpassed in her love for animals and was a member of the humane society. She was also a caregiver to numerous Walterboro residents. Her love for her children was unmeasurable, always kind, compassionate and caring. That love was surpassed only by her love for her Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Samuel D. Metts and Lillian Metts of Cottageville, South Carolina, and a son, Tony J. Roberts of Cottageville. She is survived by four sons and a daughter, Sherry Gohstlaw, Marshall (Rachel) Roberts, Mark Roberts, Kim Roberts all of Walterboro, Kevin (Jennifer) Roberts of Cottageville SC, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. At the families request, the memorial services will be rescheduled to a later date. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services.
