Obituary of Patricia Rose Malchiodi

Patricia Rose Malchiodi, 71 , of N. Charleston,S.C.entered into eternal rest on June 10,2014. She was born in Parkersburg, W.Virginia on 8/11/42 to John D.and Opal Webb.She graduated Parkersburg (Big Reds) High School and from Virginia Intermont College, Bristol, Virginia. She was a surgical nurse over forty yrs. and retired after twenty yrs. of service at the Medical University, Charleston, S.C.where she also received the honors of Nurse of the Month. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Piazza Malchiodi,N.Charleston, daughter Cynthia Lynn Bays Welch husband John A., Greensboro,N.C., daughter Laura Ann Bays, Parkerburg,W. Va.,Amy M. Summerville husband Brett, Marietta, Ohio,son, Bobby Malchiodi wife Jill Malchiodi, brother John R. Webb, Parkersburg, W. Va.. She was the proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren,three great grand children.Over the years she was active in heart,cancer society organizations and Past President of American Operating Nurses Association in the Mid-Ohio Valley. She was currently a active member and treasurer of the “Dames” financial assistance club for St. James U.M.C.. She was preceeded in death by her parents John D.and Opal Webb, and sister-in-law Senta Marie Webb. She was a loving mother, wife, and friend. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hollings Cancer Center,Charleston,S.C., and St. James U.M.C.childrens and youth ministries.Memorial services being held at St. James U.M.C.512 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, S.C.,AT 11:00A.M, Friday, June 13,2014.
