Obituary of Joan Eck

Joan Eck, born 6-4-33 to John and Pearl Stier in Crete, Illinois. She married Rueben Eck in 1971 and he preceded her in death. She moved to Summerville in 2002 and then to Franke Home in Mt. Pleasant in 2005. She died April 7,. 2014. She is survived by 3 siblings Kenneth Stier and Barbara Bruner of Summerville and Norma Sue Young of Arizona plus numerous nieces and nephews and a step-sister, Marian Ecklund in California. One sister, Margaret Laughlin, and one step-sister, Arlene Syverson, died in 2012. She graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and was employed there as Women’s Counselor. Her memorial service will be Sunday, April 13, at 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1600 Old Trolley Road in Summerville.
