Obituary of Christine M. Bridges

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Christine M. Bridges,67, of Moncks Corner, SC announce her passing on Thursday, February, 21, 2019 after a brief illness. Born on October 31, 1951 in Columbus, GA, she is preceded in death by her father, Jefferson McLendon, her mother, Irma Booth Ellis and her beloved chihuaha, Georgia.

She leaves behind her devoted husband, James "Shorty" Bridges, five children, Lynn Leviner, Renee (Tony) Van-Derpoel, Elaine (Desmond Miller) Knight, Timmy (Diane) Bridges and Lance Leviner, 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, her brother, James (Billie) McLendon and her sisters, Anne Swilley and Jane Gray. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews and multiple friends.

Christine enjoyed spending time at their camper in the mountains of North Carolina, traveling, shopping, gardening, playing cards and collecting all things turtle related. She had an immeasurable love for her family and loved to spend time with them all.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Somerset Point, 2222 Pinopolis Road, Pinopolis, SC 29469 from 11 am to 5 pm.
