Obituary of Faith Pitts

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Faith W. Pitts, 78, of North Charleston, SC announces her passing on Sunday, March 3, 2019 after a long illness.  Born on February 2, 1941 in Newport, Rhode Island, she is preceded in death by her father, John Walsh and her son, Scott Maurer.

 

She leaves behind her loving mother, Hazel Walsh, her three children, Tim Maurer, Robin Pitts, and Brandy Marsh, 8 grandchildren, her sister, Loretta Jennings and her brother, Frank Walsh.  She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. 

 

Faith enjoyed spending time being creative and repurposing items into treasures.  Her sense of humor was contagious, and she always took time to brighten someone’s day by making them smile.  She enjoyed listening to Christian music and could often be found attending a local concert.  Her love for her family was boundless, and spending time with them is what brought her joy each day.  The most important thing was her love for God and her willingness to share that with others.

 

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services located in North Charleston, SC at 7475 Peppermill Pkwy from 2pm to 3pm.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Faith’s life.
