Obituary of James A. Busse

James Arthur Busse, 87, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014. A memorial Service will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, North Charleston, S.C. Born in Brighton, Colorado, he was the son of the late William George and Dorothea Sophia Busse. He was the devoted husband of 50 years to the late JoAn Tatum Busse. Mr. Busse was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Pacific theater. Forty-two years ago, Mr. Busse and his sons founded JWR Sales Company, where he remained active as a partner and officer until his death. Mr. Busse was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. A graduate of the University of Florida, Mr. Busse remained a die-hard Gator fan. He is survived by one son, Randy Busse (Melba) of North Charleston; one daughter, Jan Fuller, of Lexington, South Carolina; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by one son, Bill Busse, formerly of Red Bank, Tennessee. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Peace Lutheran Church, 8315 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, South Carolina 29418.
