Obituary of Betty Jo Evans

Betty Jo Evans of Goose Creek, SC entered into her Heavenly Home on Saturday, March 23, 2019. She was born April 7, 1940 in Greenville, SC., daughter of the late Hubert Arrowood and Lila Bell Rogers Arrowood. She was retired from the restaurant industry.

            Betty Jo was an avid gardener, and spent many hours enjoying her yard and the outdoors. She also enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

            She is predeceased by her husband, Farrell Evans, and her son, Ronnie Morris. She is survived by her sisters, Delores Herron of North Charleston and Jerry Slater (Bill) of Chapin, SC. She is also survived by her daughter, Cindy Sexton (Wayne) of Goose Creek. Betty Jo is survived by her three grandchildren: Kristy Steenberg of Goose Creek, Jamie Bigham (Renee) of Connecticut, and Brandon Bigham of Goose Creek, along with her great grandchildren, Alexis Steenberg and Caila Steenberg of Goose Creek. Betty Jo also leaves behind many loved nieces, nephews and close friends. She will be missed by many.

            Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Simplicity, 281-C Treeland Drive, Ladson, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice of Charleston, SC or St Jude children’s hospital.
