Obituary of Lester Richmond

Lester Dunham Richmond, 90, of Goose Creek, SC passed away, Sunday, April 28th 2019.

Lester was the son of Winston Richmond and Dorothy Choate.  Lester was born in Middleborough, MA on 10 Nov. 1928.  Lester dedicated 22 years (1946-1967)  to the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam and Korean wars. He was the recipient of the China Service medal of Good Conduct, National Defence Service Medal (x2), Korean Service Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal, United Nations Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and 6- Good Conduct Medals. 

Lester was pre-deceased by his wife, Correll Gretchen Richmond; step-children, John Yandell, Marlyn Yandell-Churchill; and sister, Rosemary Seamans.  Lester leaves behind children, Wanda Richmond, Cynthia Martin (Carl), Leslie O'Brian (Dan), Janice Faircloth, Roger Richmond (Kimberly), Steven Richmond (Sandra); brothers, Cliff and Jerry Richmond; step-children, Theresa Neary (Michael), Shirl Hannah, Carol Leite (Richard Taylor), Lora Westgate (Larry), Susan Dornbush (Jeffrey), Melissa Adams (Robert), Paulee Lemmons (Michael), Ada Nix (Ken), Barry, Leslie, Jerry, and George Schuster; eighty three grandchildren and 113 great-grandchildren. 

 Arrangements are being handled by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services Summerville.
