Obituary of Michael Dore

Michael John Dore of Summerville, SC, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019.  He is survived by his
wife, Jana Dore of Tavares FL; son, Scott of Summerville SC; daughters, Loni Chappell of Safety
Harbor FL, and Lori Chappell of Roseville MI; father, John Dore of Munising
MI; sisters, Karen (Dave) Dickson, Sue (Bob) Vorhees; brothers, Steve (Kelly), Jon (Mary). He was
preceded in death by his mother, Joyce and son, Adam.
Michael proudly served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1980.  After his departure from the Army, Michael went on to become a corrections officer for the Michigan Department of Corrections and the United States Navy for 30 years.
Memorial service will be Wednesday June 12 from 11:00AM - 12:00 PM at Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, Ladson Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Kidney Foundation, or any veteran's
group.
