Obituary of Louise G. Spangler

Louise G. Spangler, 85, of Moncks Corner, SC, passed away on July 30th, 2016. Visitation will be held from 6pm – 8pm Wednesday August 3rd, 2016 at Simplicity Lowcountry and Burial Services. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 4th, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner. Louise was born in Barnwell County on May 9th, 1931, a daughter of Maggie Collins Grubbs and William “Laurice” Grubbs. Louise worked as an administrative professional for 25 years. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, cooking, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was also actively involved with her church, First Baptist Church of Moncks Corner, SC. Louise is survived by her husband, Max E. Spangler; three daughters, Sherrill Hammond of Orangeburg, SC, Dayna (Billy) Pessier of Cross, SC, and Nanette (Joe) McGee of Ladson, SC; her brother, William “Billy” (Dixie) Grubbs of Ridgeville, SC; her sister, Janice Williams of Goose Creek, SC; 6 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and some very special nieces and nephews. Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Maggie Collins Grubbs and William “Laurice” Grubbs and her brother Lewis Grubbs. Funeral arrangements are made by Simplicity Lowcountry and Burial Services.
