Obituary of James Curtis Bryant

James Curtis “J.C.” Bryant, age 82, of Hanahan, SC, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 15th, 2013. A visitation will be Friday, July 19th, 2013 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at First Southern Methodist Church, 1301 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406, with the funeral following immediately after at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at Watson Cemetery in Zion, SC. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Lane Bryant, of Hanahan, SC, and son, J. Carroll Bryant of Hanahan, SC. Also included are sister-in-laws; Gynelle Lane of Moncks Corner, SC Barbara Lane of Fork, SC and Brenda Lane English of Florence, SC, along with numerous nephews. Predeceased by son, Allen Bryant. J.C. was born in Zion, South Carolina on October 21st, 1930. He was the son of Solomon and Nettie Bryant. J.C. worked at Westvaco Papermill in North Charleston for over 40 years, and retired in 1992. He was a member of the First Southern Methodist Church. J.C. loved going to church, watching baseball and spending time with his family Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the church.
