Johnny was the nicest and sweetest man. He said hi to everyone he crossed paths with and always had something nice to say. This is a huge loss for all of us that knew him and I am sure he will be greatly missed at Dial.

I met Johnny through our work at Dial America. He sat next to me when I was going through some difficult times at the same time he was nursing Donna. What a wonderful man! It’s been a pleasure to know him. I will miss his smile and his stories. May God bless the family during this difficult time.

Johnny would always stop and say hello. He had a way of just making you feel important. He always had a story to tell and had a way of making you laugh. He will be greatly missed.

Johnny & I became friends in 1973, we were both apprentice shipfitters. We did things together at & after work. His parents were great to me when we would go to their house on James Island for a birthday party, etc. I left Charleston in 1994 for Illinois to continue my gov't career. Only saw Johnny once after that when he came to a beach house I had rented at Folly Beach. I joined FB a few months ago & we reconnected. My wife Ann & I wish we could have spent some time with hime after we retire to NC. You go in peace my friend.

I had the pleasure of working with Johnny at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. I most recently regained friendship through facebook. I regret his passing and would like to extend my condolences to his family. Rest in peace my friend...

John was an amazing person, so glad I got to know him at work. He always stopped to speak with everyone he knew. Even would come by floor D just to say hey. I did not know him as well as others did, but we would strike a conversation at lunch time. He will truly be missed. Dial has gained yet another angel to watch over the halls. Praying that God sends the family comfort in this tough time.
