Obituary of Randy Owens Sr.

Michael Randy Owens Sr. 61, of Moncks Corner and formally of James Island entered into eternal rest on Monday August 12, 2019. He was born at home, October 4, 1957. He was the fourth child of six to his parents. He won Mr. James Island 1975. He participated in football and wrestling throughout his youth. He graduated from James Island High School, Class of 1976 Rams and retired from a career in independent sales distribution. He spent many years coaching youth sports at different fields on James Island, always involved in his children’s sporting events. You could usually catch him at the Riverland Terrace boat landing or on any area creek boating. Randy had a big heart and never met a stranger. He was a friend to everyone he met. “Dandy Randy” as some called him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Ethel Owens. He is survived by his wife Teresa and their children, Michael Randy Owens Jr. (Holly), Kasey Elaine Owens (Alanna) and Kimberly Lynn Owens and her children Sarah Katherine and George Allen. He was a Proud Papa to his Little Angel and his Little Buddy.  He is also survived by five siblings. 

Family and friends can attend the Memorial Service Friday August 16, 2019 at 2 pm Simplicity LowCountry Cremation and Burial Services 7475 Peppermill Pkwy N Charleston, SC 29418.  The family requests a private burial.
