Obituary of Jack Wesley Collum

Jack Wesley Collum, 59 Went to be with our Lord and Saviour on March 24, 2013 Palm Sunday. Jack was born in Lubbock, Texas to the parents of Ann J. Collum-Neal and Raymond Clyde Collum on February 17, 1954. Jack grew up …in Lubbock, Texas and attended Estacodo High School. As an adult he moved east to Dallas, TX, Florida and then to South Carolina, where he peacefully went home to Jesus. Jack was a lover of music and dancing. He played in a band many years of his life, and could dance the night away. He had a passion for playing the guitar and singing. And he could get a crowd going. But Jack had one greater passion than music, playing guitar or dancing. That is that Jack loved the Lord. He was a very spiritual man. He walked with Jesus daily. And was an evangelist for God. He would talk to everyone about the Lord’s grace and mercy and try to bring them to the feet of Jesus. Daily he had the radio set to praise and worship music and meditate in the spirit of the Lord. He used to say “I’m just a man, a sinner”. “I am not perfect”. But he is no longer a sinner or just a man. For he is perfect in God’s eyes and forgiven, by God’s love. Jack blessed the world with 9 beautiful children. Valeria J. Collum-Pierson, Suzanna L. Collum, Laura L. Collum, Rebecca L. Collum-Olea, Malinda D. Collum, Jacob Collum, Garrett K. Collum, Brittany A. Collum and Selena M. Collum. And they blessed him with 12 beautiful grand babies. Vandala, Hailie, Ariel, Keith, Kerstin, Gabriel, Hanna, Matthew, Amya, Juante, Noah, Chyna. There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. every earthly trial is over; every restless tossing passed. I am safely home in heaven with unending peace at last. Try to look beyond the shadows, Pray to trust the Father’s will, We will one day meet again, and always know I love you still. “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself”. Philippians 3:20-21 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life”. John 3:16
