Obituary of Lee Roland Young

Lee Roland Young, 75, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the Summerville Community Hospice Home in Summerville, South Carolina.

He was born January 29, 1944 in Sidney, New York to the late Grover Young and Marion Timewell Young. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Waffen, and his step-son, Michael Alan Fraley.  He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carol Audrey Young; along with his step-children, Robert Munson, Cheryl O’Berry, Donna Smith; his sister, Susan Young McCort; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and extended family.  Lee was a loving husband, step-father, grandfather, and friend to everyone.
 

Lee proudly served in the United States Navy for 27 years and was an active member of the United States Submarine Veterans Charleston Base. 

A Graveside service and interment will take place at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, 3044          Old U.S. 52, Moncks Corner, South Carolina on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M.
