Obituary of Jean C. Foreman

   Jean C. Foreman 81, of North Charleston, SC passed away Friday, November 21, 2019 at Trident Medical Center in North Charleston.

   Jean or Jeanie as she was known was born in Charleston, SC on November 5, 1938 to Edward and Mildred Crosby of Charleston, SC. In 1966 she met John R. Foreman of Lafayette, LA while he was stationed in Charleston while serving in the Navy. They were married on February 16, 1967. They have lived in Lafayette, LA, Beaumont, TX, Vidor, TX and ultimately North Charleston, SC where they have been for the past 43 years. She has been a mother and housewife. She was most proud of being a caretaker throughout the years of many children most of which belonged to family and friends all of which she loved as her own. Many of whom still call her “Grandma.”

   She is survived by her husband John, her sons with their wives, Tommy and Karen Henderson of Goose Creek, SC and Rick and Sara Foreman of West Ashley, SC, grandchildren, Tommy’s kids Jesse, Madison and Rick’s kids Emily Grace, Caroline Elizabeth, Lily Katherine, Noah Ray, Gabriel Alexander, Lorynn Nicole, Harper James, and Elliot Dean. Her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Martha Foreman of Breaux Bridge, LA. Her adopted son and daughter Cindy and Jody Thomas, their children Rebekah Mayo and her husband Nathan, Rachel and Kyle. Her brother Edward “Bubba” Crosby and sister Doris Ayers and many nieces, nephews and friends.

   Jean is predeceased by her father and mother, Ed and Mildred Crosby, twin sister Joan Skipper and sister Margaret Mcleod.

   The family would like to thank everyone at Life Care Center of Charleston and Trident Medical Center for all that they have done for her in the past few years. The Trident personnel of the PCU during her last days was a great comfort to the family.
