Obituary of Allen Morris Bryant

Entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 7, 2013, Allen M. Bryant, 57, of Hanahan, SC, son of J.C. Bryant, Shirley Bryant, and brother of J. Carroll Bryant. He is survived by several uncles and aunts, Larry and Gynelle Lane of Moncks Corner, Barbara Lane of Fork, and Brenda Lane English of Florence, along with numerous cousins. Allen graduated Hanahan High School in 1973 distinguishing himself as an all-conference basketball player, member of the SC Junior All-State Band and honor roll student. He attended the College of Charleston after high school. He worked in several manufacturing and distribution jobs in both Charleston and Florida. He enjoyed all sports, particularly playing and coaching basketball. A visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2013 from 9:15 AM – 10:00 AM at First Southern Methodist Church, 1301 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406, with the funeral following immediately after at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place in Zion, SC. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 269 Calhoun Street, Charleston, SC 29401.
