Obituary of Lawton La Roche

Lawton Bostick La Roche, born June10, 1954 in Camden, SC passed away after a brief illness on January 5, 2013 in Mt. Pleasant, SC where he had made his home since 1979. He was the son of Louise Lenoir Kerrison La Roche and the late William Reynolds La Roche, Jr., M.D.. He is survived by his children, John Lawton La Roche and Elizabeth Grace La Roche and their mother Cynthia Dabney La Roche all of Johns Island, SC. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Riley Claire Thompson of Mt. Pleasant, SC, two sisters Lenoir Roberts of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Louise Thorpe (Terry) of Chattanooga, TN and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Mr. La Roche was predeceased by his father and two brothers, Micah Jenkins La Roche and William R. La Roche, III. Mr. La Roche was a retired refrigeration mechanic with the ILA 1422A working mainly on the Wando Terminal. His wishes were to have his ashes spread on his father’s grave in Meggett, SC and in Camden, SC where he spent his childhood. A private memorial is planned in the near future.
