Obituary of Michael A. Burnette

Michael “Anthony” Burnette Sr., 66 of North Charleston, SC, formerly of Bluefileld, WV, passed away after a long illness, Saturday, December 2, 2017 with his family at his side at home. Anthony was the son of the late Ben Burnette Sr. and Virginia I. Burnette. Other than his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by one brother Ben Burnette Jr., sisters Zona Anderson and Brenda Crow. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 46 years, Linda(Carter) Burnette, son, Michael Anthony Burnette Jr., daughter, Heather Burnette and granddaughter, Khloe Burnette all of N. Charleston, SC, one brother, Virgil Burnette of LaPlata, MD, one sister, Mary Sue Danie ley of Radford, VA. He also leaves a host of very special nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Anthony was a former coal miner before he moved to South Carolina. He went on to work as a supervisor of maintenance at several apartment complexes in the Charleston area. He loved to hunt and fish. Later in the year, there will be a memorial service held for family and friends to celebrate his life in Bluefield, WV.
