Obituary of Denise Tomlin

Denise Tomlin, 69, of Ladson, SC, passed away Sunday, December 3rd, 2017. She was born August 17th, 1948 in San Francisco, California. She attended North Charleston High School and later received degrees in criminal justice and was a certified nurse’s assistant. Throughout her lifetime, Denise traveled the world, living in various countries and states. She thoroughly appreciated the arts, including handcrafts, music, and dance. She frequented dance competitions alongside her brother and friends. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and was a caring and thoughtful mother to her three children. In her retirement, she enjoyed collecting trinkets and savored the taste of chocolate and a cold Coca-Cola. She is survived by her mother, Helen R. Cook; her brother William E. Cook (Carol); her sister, Danielle Gomez (Joseph); three sons, James D. Ezzell (Margie), John E. Ezzell (Laura), Victor J. Kelley III; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services, 281 Treeland Dr., Ladson SC 29456 from 6:30-8:00 pm on Thursday, December 7, 2017.
