Obituary of Anthony Brant Smith

Anthony Brant Smith, 38, was taken from us on the 12th of November, 2012 as a result of a fatal vehicle accident in North Charleston, South Carolina. Tony was born on april 21st, 1974 in Charleston, South Carolina to Herbert and Artice Smith. Tony grew up in South Carolina, Kentucky and Indiana. He attended high school in Shelbyville, Indiana where he graduated in 1993. After high school he joined the United States Marine Corp 08-24-1993 and served stateside as a tank commander until he was honorably discharged as a Lance Corporal 08-23-1997. Tony eventually made home, family, friends and his life in the Low Country. Tony is survived by his parents Herbert and Artice Smith, his sister Ruby Weeks, his estranged wife Linda Smith and leaves behind 3 children, 15 year old Amber Reigard (daughter), 12 year old Aubrey Smith (daughter) and 21 year old Jacob Kolan (step son). Tony has several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews that he precedes as well as an extensive following of close friends and aquaintances. Tony was a member of the Warhorse Brotherhood Motorcycle Club in which he was actively involved and loved all of his Brothers. He will be deeply missed by his Brothers and those who support them. Tony had a passion for riding his motorcycle, He loved music and enjoyed playing video games (Madden). Tony was a proud Marine and he loved his children. A toast will be held at BFE (bar and grill) 118 Ashland Drive, Summerville, South Carolina at 7:00 pm November 16th, 2012. A memorial service will be held at Riverfront Park in the city of North Charleston, South Carolina near the old naval base at 2:00 pm November 18th, 2012. The family and close friends will be greeting other friends and relatives at those times. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Warhorse Brotherhood.
