Obituary of James Lathan Sisco
James Lathan Sisco, 75, passed away on February 22, 2020, surrounded by his family at Trident Medical Center.
Born November 14, 1944, in Charleston, South Carolina, “Jim” or “Jimmy” was the son of the late Jesse Sisco Sr and Mary Smith Sisco.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Barbara, of 57 years, are his daughter Angela Tyner (Duane); granddaughters, Courtney Ayer (John) and Brittney Tyner; great granddaughter, Hannah Ayer; brothers Jesse Sisco Jr (Bette) and Jerry Sisco (Sue); sister Jema Durham, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served as a Captain in Vietnam. He retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as an Instrument Mechanic Leader.
Jimmy was a woodworking hobbyist and loved all things outdoors. His proudest accomplishment was his family and spending time with them.
Family will receive friends Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 5:00 pm with the service immediately following at 6:00 pm at Simplicity, 281 Treeland Drive Suite C, Ladson, South Carolina 29456
