Obituary of Donald Collins Ray

Donald “Donnie” Ray- Johns Island Donald “Donnie” Ray, 50, Johns Island, SC was involved in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, and later passed on at MUSC. Memorial Services will be held at the American Legion on 968 Folly Rd, Charleston at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, with Rev. Tony Lupton officiating. There will be no viewing; Donnie’s remains will be cremated. A native of Evansville, IN, he was born on January 6, 1962, He was the son of Don Ray and Phyllis Sanders. He was an Air Force Veteran, Building Contractor and partner in Donnix Construction, he was a member of ABATE of Florida – Black Creek Chapter, American Legion – Post 250, Middleburg, FL. Predeceased by his brother Kevin L. Ray. Survivors include his wife, Luv (Monica) Ray of Charleston, SC, Mother, Phyllis Sanders of Evansville, IN, Father, Don Ray, Princeton, IN, Step Father, Richard Daugherty, Boonville, IN, Sister, Krista Waller of Evansville, IN, Son, Brad Meyer of Evansville, IN, Step Son, Robert McKay and wife from Hopkinsville, KY, 3 granddaughters, 5 nieces and 7 nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Federal under Monica D. Ray.
