Obituary of Bruce Allen Clarke

Bruce Allen Clarke, 48 of Summerville died on September 23 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Clarke was born on April 3, 1964 in London, Kentucky to Carroll Lee and Mary Louise (Grubb) Clarke. He had lived a large portion of his life in the Summerville area and worked as a carpenter. He graduated from Trident Technical College with a degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in 1993. Bruce enjoyed many things in life including hunting and fishing, tennis, collecting snakes and NASCAR. His family noted that what he loved most was drawing and carpentry and that he was very talented at both. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Robert Clarke of Summerville, Jeff Clarke of Sumter, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and his very dear friend Kathi Greisham. Visitation for Mr. Clarke will take place on Wednesday, September 26 from 5:00PM-7:00PM, 5:00 to 6:00 open casket, 6:00 to 7:00 closed casket, at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services (7475 Peppermill Parkway, North Charleston). Funeral services celebrating his life will take place on Thursday at 11:00AM at Miles Road Baptist Church (816 Miles Road, Summerville). Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Amedisys Hospice or to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services.
