Obituary of Mary Walker Kruger

Mary Walker Kruger, 87, of Charleston South Carolina, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones, Friday, October 13th, 2017. Mary was born September 20th, 1930 in Charleston, SC to the late Joseph C. and Ocey Mae Walker. She has a surviving sister, Elizabeth Wright. She attended and graduated from Chicora High School in Charleston SC. Mary was employed by National Airlines as a ticket agent before marrying her beloved late husband Lawrence Robert Kruger on November 18th, 1961. They were married 39 years. Mary was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her great-grandchildren brought her tremendous happiness during her later years. Mary’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and her cherished little dog “Gabby”. Mary is survived by her two children and their spouses: Kelly and John Vanderhoof and Kevin and Sheila Kruger, Grandchildren and their spouses: Ashton and Kristen Moore, Joshua and Victoria Moore, Breann Moore and Mark Nolte, Brodie Moore, Shelby, Kaden and Dylan Vanderhoof, Kaitlin, Cary and Kevin Kruger, Jr., Great-grandchildren: Emmalyn and Colton Moore and Maddux and Luca Nolte. A Private family service and viewing was held at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services. The Rite of Committal for all family and friends will be held at Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery, 3715 Azalea Dr. N. Charleston SC, November 27th, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
