Obituary of Inez Benton

Inez Estell Benton, age 92, passed on Friday, October 13th, 2017 at Hospice of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant, SC. She was born in Colleton County, SC on May 12th, 1925 and is the daughter of the late Jess Lee Hale and Ethel Elizabeth (Wilson) Hale. Inez retired from Roper Hospital. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed being around them and her friends. She loved people and never net a stranger. She would give her last dime to help anyone. She loved cooking and baking. She was of the Baptist Faith. Miss. Benton is survived by her daughter: Agnes Elizabeth Benton of Summerville, SC and her children Cindy Benton of Moncks Corner, SC; Edris Benton Summerville, SC; Beth Williamson and her husband Richard Williamson and their children: Megan and Kyle Williamson. She was preceded in death by her sister: Lula Mae Hale and her brother Jess Hale. Other surviving members: Mary Hale, Jeannie Hale, Mark Hale and his wife Dawn Hale and their children: Kayla and Brooke, Edward Blewer, Jerry Blewer and his wife Linda Blewer and their children Christina Blewer McKeithan and her children Michael and Ashley, Jerry Blewer and his children Travis and Savannah and Jessy Blewer and his wife Tracy and their children Cody, Amanda and Bree. Arrangements are being handled by Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services. There will be a service in memory of Inez Benton on Oct. 27, 2017 at 12pm till 1pm at Simplicity’s Summerville Chapel (281 Treeland Drive, Ladson, SC 29456) and burial service will take place right after at Riverview Memorial Park at 2pm (3715 Azalea Drive, North Charleston, SC 29405).
