Obituary of Richard Elliott Leap

Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Richard Elliott Leap, Sr on Friday, March 2nd, 2018 at 1pm at New Beginnings Community Church located at 849 Fort Johnson Road on James Island. Richard (Rick) was born on December 2, 1953 in Charleston, SC to Verleen Snider Leap & Herbert A. Leap Sr. Richard attended James Island High School where he played football and was one of the original “Mighty Rams”. Richard was a proud Air Force Veteran who loved his country very much. Richard was a supervisor at Pleasant Places for over 10 years, and enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing guitar. Richard is survived by his loving fiancé Susan Creech Freeze, his children: Ricky Leap Jr, Jessica Leap Mallord, Donovan Leap, Tamara Leap, stepdaughter Alexis Freeze, and Grandchildren Devin, Lela & Ava Mallord and Ariana Leap. Richard will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
