Obituary of Lemuel Morgan Garrick

Lemuel “Lem” Morgan Garrick Jr., 73, of Moncks Corner, departed life on September 24, 2017 at home surrounded by family. Taken care of by Roper St. Francis Hospice and Roper Home Health Care. Born in Orangeburg, SC to the late Maryland Lamb Cox and Lemuel M Garrick. He was in the Army National Guard until a back injury. He worked at Piggly Wiggly, Food Lion, and Bilo as a Market Manager until Retirement. His final job was his favorite – working the counter at Swamp Fox Bowling Center in Moncks Corner. He enjoyed bowling in the Iron Man Tournament, Scotch Doubles with his wife, and numerous leagues; puttering in the yard and the Panthers football team. And spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Ann Garrick of Moncks Corner, sons Lemuel Morgan Garrick III (Angela) of Andrews, SC; Joseph Morgan Garrick (Brittney) of Moncks Corner, SC and Robert William Garrick of Moncks Corner; daughters Lisa Robinson of St. Cloud, FL; Sonya Garrick Langley (Jerry) of Moncks Corner; brother Tommy Garrick (Mary) of Charleston; sisters Margaret Peterson (Harold) and Donna Hartin of Charleston; numerous nieces and nephews and nine grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation & Burial Services – Summerville Chapel (281 Treeland Drive, Suite C, Ladson, SC 29456) on Monday, October 2 from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
