Aldine James, III (Dean) 66, a native of Charleston, went to be with his eternal Father on Monday, July 24, 2017, after suffering from Multiple Sclerosis for 20 years. He followed in his father’s footsteps and became a store manager for Belk in Pinehaven Shopping Center. He then went on to Belk Store Services in Charlotte where he was a menswear buyer. From there he and his wife Lora moved to NYC where he became the clothing designer for Bill Blass menswear, working through Pincus Brothers Maxwell. Before his illness, Dean was an avid tennis player. He was known for his generosity, kindness, and heart for anyone less fortunate. Dean and Lora met in Charlotte, NC, lived in New York City, Los Angeles, San Jose and Ft. Lauderdale.
