Obituary of Judith M. Weinstein

Judith Miriam (Schwartz) Weinstein, 74, of Summerville, SC, passed away on July 1, 2016. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Bertha (Bernstein) and Israel Schwartz and wife of P. Gerald (Jerry) Weinstein. Judy and Jerry grew up in Lynn, Massachusetts where they met in High School. In 1963, after 3 years of marriage, they moved into the home that Jerry built in Marblehead, MA and raised their two daughters. In 1990, they retired to Florida where they lived in several communities in Lake Worth and Boynton Beach until 5 years ago when they moved into Del Webb in Summerville, SC. Judy was the Treasurer/Bookkeeper of the family plumbing heating and fire sprinkler business for many years. She was a life member of The Bellagio Chapter of the Pap Corps (where she was a Past President), Hadassah and Women’s American ORT. She was Secretary of the Del Webb Epicurean Wine Club, and a member of several social groups. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, their daughters, Michelle Boxer, and her husband Mark of Glastonbury, CT and Ellen Stanley and her husband Mark of St. Albans, ME; her two precious granddaughters Sarah Boxer of Irvine, CA and Elizabeth Boxer of Boston, MA; her brother and sister-in-law Dr. Arthur and Cheryl Schwartz of Salem, MA; her sister-in-law Cookie Weinstein of Brighton, MA; her favorite niece, Naomi Schwartz of Weymouth, MA and her cherished nephews Mark Schwartz of Salem, MA and Scott Schwartz of San Francisco, CA. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be donated to the Bellaggio Chapter of the Pap Corps c/o Ginny Kaminsky, 9715 San Vittore St., Lake Worth, FL 33467, or online at www.papcorps.org for credit to the Bellaggio Chapter; Hospice of Charleston 676 Wando Park Boulevard Mount Pleasant, SC 29464; or to a charity of your choice.
