Obituary of Jacqueline Causey Snipes

Jacqueline Causey Snipes, (Jackie) age 74 of Goose Creek S.C, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 10th, 2017 surrounded by family & friends. She was born to the late Dwight Causey and Leo Jernigan Causey on August 14th, 1942. She was the beloved wife of Elsie Snipes (Teny) with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Theresa June Cotter, son Arnold Snipes and his wife Karen, son-in-law Kenny L. Hoffa, grandchildren, Mike E. Cotter, Crystal M. Cotter, Ivy Hoffa Gates, David Kenneth Hoffa, Adam Snipes Hoffa, Great grandchildren, Mike Lee Cotter (Lil Mike), Kamren Lee Cotter, Raylynn Jean Money, Lilli Patricia Jean Cotter, sisters Carol C. McElveen, Joyce C. Strickland, and a large number of extended family and dear friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Eugenia Snipes Hoffa, Grandson Brian Lee Snipes, sister Betty C. Gladue, and brothers, Wayne and Glen Causey. Jackie loved God, her family & friends. She loved to go camping in the mountains, the beach and anywhere she could pull the camper up and socialize with family & friends. She also loved listening to, playing and singing Bluegrass music. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud Grandmother. She will always be remembered as the true heart of her family. Visitation for Jackie will take place on Friday, July 14 from 12pm – 1pm at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial LADSON location (281 Treeland Drive, Ladson SC 29456). Funeral Services celebrating her life will follow at 1pm. Immediately following the services, burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park (7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston). Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Bonneau Baptist Church (108 West Church Street, Bonneau SC 29431) or to Hospice of Charleston (676 Wando Park Blvd, Mt. Pleasant SC 29464)
