Obituary of Danny Jerome Mixon

 

Danny Jerome Mixon, 65, of Macedonia, SC, a former lineman for Berkeley Electric Co-op and SCE & G Utilities, died Monday, April 27, at his residence.

 

Mr. Mixon was born July 4, 1954 in Moncks Corner, SC, the son of Daniel James & Lillian Annette Martin Mixon. He enjoyed antiquing, fishing and tractors.  Danny loved telling old stories and doing anything to make you laugh. He loved his sons and family.

 

Surviving are his parents of Macedonia; two sons, Danny Carlton Mixon (Monica); Michael Jason Mixon (Jennifer), both of Summerville SC; two sisters, Joanne Mixon Atkins and Robin Mixon Stalls (Phil) both of Macedonia; five grandchildren, Zachary Mixon (Ana),  Nathan Mixon, Jeremy Mixon, Dylan Mixon & Chayten Mixon, all of Summerville, SC; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Mixon of Summerville, SC;  eight nieces, Ashley Burns (Mike), Madison McCoy (Ross) Sydney McCoy,  Tiffany Atkins Kilburn (John), Breanna Stalls, Allie Stalls, Carleigh Stalls and Erin Stalls; a great niece, Adeline Burns;  and the mother of his sons, Vanessa Russell.

 

He was predeceased by a sister, Marilyn Mixon Theissen.

 

A graveside service will be held  2:00 p. m. Friday, May 1, 2020   at Oak Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery in Macedonia.

 

The family will receive friends Friday, May 1, 2020 1:00 p.m.  at Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church,  3336 N. Hwy 17-A, Bonneau, SC 29431 }
