Obituary of Peggy Morrison

Peggy C. Morrison (Scruggs), 80, of Hanahan, SC passed away  the afternoon of May 23, 2020 at her granddaughters home after an extended illness. 

She was the youngest child of Marion C. and Ruby H. Scruggs.

She was born in Columbia SC on June 3, 1939 and at the age of 2, moved to Charleston. 

She was formerly married to Gerald Morrison (deceased) and James Ewing (deceased).

She was the former owner of The Z Bar lounge in North Charleston and worked for Military Sealift Command based out of Louisiana. 

She is predeceased by her parents, a brother, 3 sisters and a granddaughter. 

She leaves behind a daughter, Ruby Yantorn (Joseph), two sons, James Ewing (Sieglinde), Jay Ewing (Chantell), 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. 

Arrangements will be made by Simplicity Crematorium and internment will be at Carolina Memorial Gardens.

A ceremony will be June 11, 2020 @ 1pm at the mausoleums towards the back of Carolina Memorial Gardens
