Obituary of Richard Ferris King

Mr. Richard “Old Man” King, 53, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Born in Louisburg, North Carolina, he is the son of H.L. “Rock” King and the late Jerri Faye King. Rich was a loving husband and father who had a kind and generous soul that never knew a stranger and would go out of his way to help anyone. Rich retired from the Air Force in 2004 and was a civil service employee at Joint Base Charleston. He was a Mason, Shriner and a proud member of the Green Knights Military Motorcycle Club, Chapter 37. He will be missed by all. Rich is survived in life by his loving wife of 26 years Jeanette King; daughter Jessica King and son Johnathan King; sister Teresa King; nieces Lauren Garren and fiancé John Taylor, Katie and husband Cody Gray. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel, 1 PM on Joint Base Charleston. Immediately following will be a celebration of life in Nose Dock two.
