Obituary of Courtney Walker Sr.

Courtney “Ray” Walker Sr, age 72 of Walterboro SC passed away peacefully on June 27th 2020 with family by his side.

Ray was born in Sturgis Kentucky on March 31, 1948 to Courtney and Nellie Walker.  After graduating from Crittenden County High School he served in the United States Navy.  He then worked at SCE&G from 1975 until retiring in 2001. After retirement he continued to work with several power companies over the years.

Ray was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed spending time with family, horses, working on cars, and hunting.

Ray is survived by his son Courtney Ray (Colleen) Walker JR, 3 grandchildren Emily Lyn, Emily Jade and Wesley, brothers Brad (Tina) Walker and Mike (Charlene) Walker, and several nieces and nephews.
